Had wanted to go to Bourke for a long while - enjoyed the Exhibition.
Great place to visit, ladies very informative and helpful.
Good place to have a look at and check out. Allow a day to really check it all out. Has a tour that you need to allow 2 hrs for.
This place is truly a credit to the people of Bourke who set it up. The exhibition is wonderfully done and the many stories were sad, uplifting, inspirational and mind boggling. I think the town should take out rights on the Myrtle Perooz story and sell the film rights- amazing lady! Don't let anyone put you off coming to Bourke- it is really lovely! Don't miss the firing up of the historic Crossley engine at 12.00 every day - in the middle of town on the backs of the Darling River- - awesome!
